Madly in love…

I rang her doorbell and she came out expecting to see her bf but instead I was there. She asked me why I was here. I told her to let me in first. Once inside she once again asked me why I was here. I told her that I couldn’t control myself anymore. I needed to satisfy myself. She showed a shocked expression but I didn’t bother.

I moved up close to her and gave her a kiss. She was reluctant and pushed me away. She actually screamed at me but I didn’t bother at all. I went closer once again and hugged her. Pushing both our bodies very tightly together. I put my head on her shoulders and she began fighting to break free. Tears began rolling down my eyes. I just stood there as she kept on trying to break free. In a moment she could hear me sobbing and she stopped struggling.

“Dark Angel, let me go please.”

I let go of my tight grip and she stood in front of me. I was holding my head down.

“DA, why are you acting like this?”

“Why you ask? You get me all turned on and you leave me alone.”

“I was talking all that to you cos I was expecting you to understand. But not until like this.”

“haha… well I guess that I’m at fault again. Its always my fault. My fault that I fell for you. My fault for wanting you.”

“Don’t be like that DA. You’ll get your chance soon enough.”

“I’m sorry. If you’d just open the door I’ll be going now.”

She opens the door and I walk away. My head drooping to the lowest point ever possible. I walked into the town nearby. It was already 11.30 at that time. Took a seat at the restaurant that I usually go to there. I just ordered a drink and some light food and sat there and began looking at all the people around. All the couples nicely being together. I was deeply hurt and didn’t know what to do. I couldn’t go back now. After about an hour or two sitting there just playing with my food I left.

The next day, she was working I knew that. I hadn’t gone home yet. Don’t plan to anymore though. I sat on the edge of a fence on a nearby hill. A good look around it was already morning. I could see all the cars crowding the narrow streets. It was drizzling.

She went to work that day with a weird feeling in her. Although she enjoyed last night but today her mind seem to not be cooperating. She looked out the window of her office and saw the rain slowly falling to the ground. It certainly has gotten heavier than this morning. Then her mobile phone rang.

“Hello.”

“Hello. What time are you sending DA back? (“What the heck? I sent him on the way last night. Its impossible he is not back by now.”)”

“I’ll send him back later in the evening. I’m busy now. So sorry. Bye. (“Where the hell is he? Damn it cant be so coincidently that something bad happened to him. What if something did? Damn it.”)”

She picks up her phone and starts to dial DA’s number but to no avail. She began to grow more worried. Lunch time soon came and its been raining like this since this morning. The water level has not seemed to rise though. She got into her car and drove back to the town near her house. She decided to ask the workers at the restaurant thinking that he might have went there.

“Hi. Have you seen a boy about this tall and wears glasses and has his hair combed nicely. He’s wearing a black shirt with a red picture in front?”

“No, I’m sorry.”

“Hey I think I saw the person you are looking for.”

“Really? Do you know where he is now?”

“Not sure. He was here late at night yesterday. He sat there and he was just playing around with his food for about and hour plus. He was mumbling something under his breath and he looked very sad. He left and went that way.”

“Thanks.” (I’m so gonna kill him when I find him.)

The place that I am at, only I know and also those whom I’ve hinted it to. She managed to figure it out and drove only until the foot of the hill as the path up is not suitable for vehicles. She took an umbrella and proceeded on till she reach the top.

There she saw me just sitting there looking into space as though I’m a crazy person. I was already soaking wet. I did not notice her presence here. She came up till her umbrella could cover me too. I turned around and saw her. She saw that my eyes were very wet, not because of rain but because of tears. She gave me a hug and moved me away from the fence. She brought me to her car but I didn’t want to. I broke free from her hold and stood in the rain.

“Why’d you come? Have you not done enough hurt to me? You’re bringing me back so that you can play with my feelings again? I’m not that stupid ok.”

“Well you are stupid. STUPID!!! You think I do not care about you? You a great friend to me, you know that? I worried about you.”

“Worry what? Weren’t you having a great time with your bf yesterday? I bet you didn’t even have a thought whether I went home safely or not!!”

“You wouldn’t even have bothered to come find me now if my parents hadn’t called you to ask when you sending me home.”

“……..”

“No words eh? You’re a **** you know that. You think it’s very ok to have ***. Isn’t it? You know that you can play with a guys feelings so I became your new doll. You didn’t bother bout me. You made me feel so nice and happy then you go and break it.”

“You think I would’ve told you all that if you hadn’t asked?! It was you who wanted to know. And I told you because I trusted you. I believed in you. You’re a really big idiot you know that.”

“Yeah I’m a big idiot that’s why I’m so stupid to fall for you. To fall for your trick. To pour my heart and soul into it. (I knelt down crying. Tears were running fast down my cheeks.) I wished this hadn’t happened at all. Why me? Why me?”

She came over and took me into her arms. This time I wrapped my arms around her and let my tears flow. She dropped the umbrella and hugged me tightly. We both were getting wet in the rain. After a while she walked me to the car and we drove home.

“I don’t want to go home now. Not like this.”

“Ok. You can come over to my place and dry yourself.”

She called her colleague to ask her to inform the boss that she is not coming back. That she’s feeling very sick. Reaching home the rain stopped. We went in and she went into her room and took a t shirt out for me to change. She told me I could change in the bathroom while she changed in her room. I only changed my shirt. After changing I sat in the living room, sneezing my nose off. She made two cups of hot chocolate and passed one to me. She sat beside me and drank the hot chocolate. I was just staring at the cup I was holding not making a move.

“Hey, drink up. It’ll warm your body.”

“…(why are you being so nice to me? Just send me home now.)”

“I didn’t expect this to happen ok? I thought that we could just be like best friends telling each other our secrets.”

“Yeah. (Who does she think I am? A three-year-old boy?) I know you didn’t.”

“I know you’re angry at me because of yesterday. Because I turned you down. But you have to understand, I couldn’t have let you got all over me. It’s just not right.”

“Yeah. Don’t worry. I’m ok already. (Damn it. Not right? What’s not right?)”

“I’m sending you home after you’ve finished your drink.”

“Let’s go.”

In one gulp I swallowed the hot chocolate. Although it was hot I did not feel anything. I guess that hurt does cover pain and I’m trying to cover my hurt right now. I tried my hardest to put on a smile and look at her but she could see right through me. I walked to the back and put the cup in the basin and waited at the door. The sun was already shining brightly in the sky.

I became a very sad and quiet person for that whole week. All those around me noticed but I did not bother. Everyday I would just lock myself in the room and either sleep the whole day away or just take the laptop and put on music. For that whole week I did not bother any phone calls or messages from anyone. She herself did not even dare to send me a message anymore.

Late one night, I received a call from an unknown number. The person kept on calling me. After the sixth time the person called I finally picked up the phone for the first time in eight days. ‘Come out and meet me at your school.’ That was all was said and she hung up. It sounded very like her voice so I decided to go and take a look on what’s going on. Reaching the road I crossed as usual. But then it happened. A speeding car came and all I saw was a white blinding light and then the next thing the dark sky.

All the commotion woke up everyone nearby. My parents came out and saw me lying on the ground with blood everywhere. I was immediately sent to the hospital. There the doctors all were trying their best to save my life.

I guess I was right when I told my friend. The only way to make someone totally forget about something or ‘reprogram’ him is for him to die and come back to life.

I was badly injured as the car not only hit me, it also ran over me. I was managed to be rescued but was in a coma state and the doctor’s told my parents I was paralyzed neck down. The injury sustained was very serious that I was lucky to even be alive. I stayed in coma for three months. During that time I was really ‘reprogrammed’. Everything in my mind was washed away. After I awoke I did not remember a thing.

After the long coma sleep for three months, I finally awoke.

“(Where am I? Who am I? What am I doing here? Why cant I feel my body?)”

All the questions swirled through my head until I couldn’t stand it and gave a loud shout. Immediately she came running in. she saw that I was awake and gave me a tight hug. I was afraid as I didn’t know who she is. I tried to push her away but my body wasn’t responding.

“LET GO OF ME!!! LET GO OF ME!!!”

“DA don’t you remember me?”

“GO AWAY!! I DON’T KNOW WHO THE HELL ARE YOU!!”

She went out and called the doctor. The doctor inspected me and told them that I had lost my memory. The only way to get it back is by stimulating me with something big. But he suggested that it should be done carefully as so not to cause mental injuries. I asked the doctor why couldn’t I move. He told me that I was paralyzed, neck down. I was shocked.
